Working with difficult students every day can be both physically and mentally challenging for even the most experienced educators.
The results can sometimes lead to frustration, anger, or feelings of helplessness. When this happens, an environment of stress and/or anxiety can develop. This in turn can lead to poor decision making, overreaction, and apathy towards students.
The course has been designed to provide staff with strategies for classroom behavior management, putting undesirable behaviors in perspective, and utilizing teamwork to handle difficulties.
